EN - I wish to complete an autonomous check-out

This article applies to you if you have registered a late departure notice (less than 30 days in advance) and you have been prior informed by our team that you will need to complete an autonomous check-out, without the presence of a check-out agent. 

Important - Do not take any initiative to complete an autonomous check-out if you have not been informed to do so. Before leaving your accommodation, you must first register your date of departure, even if that date is urgent. 

To complete your autonomous check-out, simply follow these steps.  


1. The returning of keys 

✅ Before leaving your accommodation, you must leave your keys on top of your bedroom desk and leave the padlock unlocked on the door of your room. You can take a photo of the keys and send it to support@chez-nestor.com for written proof in case of any issues. 

Do not leave your keys in your letterbox, or in any other place, or leave them with someone (a friend, flatmate etc). 

⚠️ If the check-out agent is not able to find the keys on the desk of your room, you will be charged the rental payments of your room until they are found. Do not take this risk. 

⚠️ If it is not possible to lock the door to enter your apartment by closing it behind you without keys, immediately contact a member of our team via support@chez-nestor.com in order to receive instructions on where to leave your keys. Never leave your accommodation if the door is still unlocked. 


2. Personal belongings 

Take any personal belongings (in your room or common areas) with you, or throw them away. Make sure that all areas, including cupboards, bins, fridge, freezer... are empty before leaving. 

⚠️ Any personal belongings left behind in the accommodation will be thrown away by the check-out agent during the check-out procedure. No personal belongings will be conserved, stored or transferred. 


3. Cleaning and tidying

✅ Before leaving the accommodation, make sure your bedroom and the common areas are impeccably clean and tidy. Make sure your duvet and mattress protector are washed and dried, that pillows are clean, the floor is hoovered, and the furniture is dusted.  

✅ Make sure all furniture and equipment are in exactly the same position as they were upon arrival (see the bedroom page on our website for info).

⚠️ According to the terms in your contract, if any cleaning must be undertaken by a third party after your departure, you will be charged 49€ of call-out fee + 27€ per hour of cleaning required. 


4. Damages 

✅ If any articles are broken, dirty, or missing, you can get in touch with a member of our team so that we can give you the reference of the article and the name of the store in order for a new one to be bought. 

⚠️ In the case of any damages, the price of the items damaged will be deducted from your security deposit. A damaged lightbulb will be charged at 9€ for example. 


5. Photos and videos

✅ If you are completing an autonomous check-out following from a short departure notice, you thereby fully authorise Chez Nestor to complete a non-adversarial check-out. We advise that you keep clear photos or videos of your bedroom and common areas on the date of your departure just in case.
