EN - I wish to reduce/suspend my rent

This article is intended for you if you wish to reduce or stop the payment of your rent during the period of the current health crisis.

First of all, we totally understand that this particularly uncertain time may be affecting you, as it is all of us. 

Unfortunately, no special measure concerning the reduction or the suspension of rent payments for accommodation has been announced by the government. All landlords in France, (including those to whom Chez Nestor pays a rent to each month for your accommodation), are therefore continuing to charge rents as normal. 

Like you, Chez Nestor is having to face up to a complicated economic environment, and is continuing to undertake the payment of its expenses, (rents, salaries, overheads...) while its income declines, (numerous customers deciding to leave, outlays increasing...). It is the difficult calculation that nearly all companies and individual citizens are facing up to in France, which is taking an unprecedented strain on all of us. 

However, despite the absence of officially imposed obligations, we have put in place two exceptional measures to help you: 

• An easier departure in emergency situations, thanks to the possibility of autonomous checkouts*
• A credit worth 200€ offered to all tenants who wish to move back in following a premature departure from their apartment*

For example, these measures allow for you to leave your accommodation for several weeks and to return to another once the crisis has passed, and to avoid having to incur rent while you live with friends or family. They equally allow you to leave Chez Nestor more easily if you are having difficulties in paying your rent and you find a less expensive place to live.

We hope that you will soon find a solution which suits you and that these complicated weeks ahead will affect you as little as possible.
